As populations age, the demand for healthcare and long-term care services continues to grow. However, many countries do not have enough doctors, nurses, and caregivers to meet the increasing needs of older adults.
One solution is to improve salaries and working conditions to attract more healthcare workers. Governments can also invest in training programs and encourage young people to choose careers in healthcare. In addition, technology such as AI, telemedicine, and care robots can reduce workloads and improve the efficiency of healthcare services.
Some countries also recruit qualified healthcare workers from overseas to help fill labor shortages. Combining these strategies can ensure that older adults continue to receive high-quality care.
In my opinion, solving healthcare workforce shortages is one of the most important challenges in a super-aging society. Without enough healthcare workers, it will become difficult to meet the needs of an aging population.
