According to the survey results based on 3 respondents, most people are aware of Japan's aging population, but their daily interaction with older adults remains low.
Regarding awareness, 66.7% of respondents reported being "somewhat familiar" with the issue of an ultra-aging society, while the remaining 33.3% were "not very familiar." Similarly, 66.7% were aware that more than 29% of Japan's population is aged 65 or older. Overall, respondents perceive population aging as a serious matter, with an average seriousness rating of 4.00 out of 5 (all responses ranged from 3 to 5).
Despite this high level of awareness and concern, daily interaction with older adults is quite limited. A majority of respondents (66.7%) stated that they "rarely" interact with older adults, while 33.3% interact with them only "several times a month." None of the respondents reported daily or weekly interaction.
